WORK PACKAGE 5 – Study of Journalist Views and Practices

WP 5 Description:

Work Package 5 is mapping journalists’ own perceptions of their active contributions to what issue alternatives and party policies get highlighted to citizens more vividly and persistently in Romania. This ties in both with a rich political communication literature and a journalism literature, which are not often connected and even more rarely include post-communist democracies. We use an online survey of journalists followed by qualitative methods (eg interviews) to tap into the mechanisms that link content to values, norms and practices.
